If they changed the rules tomorrow, how many drivers would you have on the road?
HMRC says; “The UK lost £2.6 billion of tax revenue”. They aren’t happy about it.
“Conditionality was created to move people out of the untaxed hidden economy and into the tax environment”.
On top of the normal license checks, drivers will have to prove that they are registered and paying tax.
So keep your drivers driving.
HMRC are quick to add that businesses need not worry, as long as they are playing by the rules. It does make competition fairer, as untaxed drivers have one bill less. According to HMRC, conditionality makes it an even playing field for all.
When renewing or applying for their license, drivers will see a HMRC option. Of course, the process is complicated but we are here to make it simple and be there for drivers.
Tax software on it’s own isn’t enough, if a driver hasn’t been registered for a long time they need to make a ‘Failure to Notify’ claim, we can do all of this on their behalf. Good news! We have been doing this for drivers for 25 years.
Your license isn’t at risk, but your driver retention is. Driver shortages are already a grim reality. Made worse if you have tax unregistered drivers.
It’s a strategic advantage to overtake the pack, let other operators worry about Conditionality instead.
Hi, I’m Gary. When I first started Eazitax (Formerly Drivertax) in 1996, accountants wore stuffy suits and made their clients sit in uncomfortable chairs. They worked in old-fashioned offices with boxes as far as the eye could see. They rarely looked up from their calculators.
Clients just didn’t get a personal service.
People trusted their accountants with their financial health. In return, they were treated like a number. This horrified me.
Since then, I have made it my mission to understand what clients want and give it to them.
